Skeletons

Dinosaur skeletons that aren’t terribly accurate. Drawn while at The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. I had won tickets and suggested to a friend that we go draw for the afternoon. Also hello blogger I always forget about you.

LARP

Painting a LARP shield for a friend. The two animals are what she wanted, I threw a couple sketches at her and this is what she decided on. Trying to get it done as fast as possibbbllleee. I need to give it to her by tomorrow night. After this I have a Tank statue I'm painting to finish, and a piece to continue working on for a upcoming show. Besides art I've gotten a new job, and so I have less time for just about everything.. But I swear I will be going to the movies this weekend. By myself probably.. but regardless... movie time!

Rat Fink

This didn't make it into my last sketch post, but I've been working on some things to potentially sell at car shows. My father is very much interested in old cars, and as a result I've become quite the lover of cars myself. (I find I have all sorts of odd interests!) But this summer I hope to attend quite a few shows selling artwork, that way I can put away a little bit of money each summer for one of my dream cars.

Oh hey,

Hi! Its been a while blogger! I have some old and new sketches to post here, because I realized today I haven't updated here in a long time. Whoops. I'm very much enjoying Tumblr, and sort of put my own sketch blog aside. Sorry. :(

Currently working on two paintings, and plans for many more. So hopefully more updates here.

Characters from Bioshock, Fallout 3, Star Wars, and Monday Night Combat.

Pink

From the hilarious movie Press Start (2). Homepage here, http://www.darkmaze.com/pressstart/
( If you like video games this is seriously a must see. )
I kind of wished I had a lot more time to draw something up, or well. Paint something nice, but this will have to do. :)

The Religion of Minecraft

Top is the finish, followed by the final sketch and one of the color studies. Eh. I'm happy with it enough I suppose. Would have liked to take more time on the sky background, as the gradient I have didn't even scan well. But oh well. This was my first adventure into the world of painting on wood.. and yeah I probably will avoid doing it again.

Soldier Boy

Eh.
I went to the website of this game and tried to come up with something to draw. Ended up just with one of the classes you can pick. Since I don't have any experience with the game beyond the stuff on the website, I found this kind of hard to do.. favorite thing is the dividers. Those are fun to do.

Too many chips on the dance floor.

So last month me and a few friends got entered in a popchips contest on facebook, we had to get the most likes on our photo to win. So we pretty much went insane with getting votes from everyone we could, and won! Well. Part of the prize was a years supply of popchips, which I kind of expected would just be slips for free bags whenever.... but I thought wrong. I came home from work today to find 12 boxes neatly stacked outside my door! I laughed pretty hard. I don't know where I'm going to store all of these.

Support expressions

Little drawings of the Support class from Monday Night Combat. I really like the way this character was designed. UberEnt. did a great job with this game.. I really love it!

Sailor Jerry Show

I'm totally snagging this photo from my friend who set everything up Wed night. The rest of the pictures look great, and there are some really nice pieces hanging in the store! I'm a little sad that I couldn't get a lot of really nice shading on her skin, but I've always struggled with skin tones. Really happy I found a weathered white frame though. A.C. Moore to the rescue!

This piece sold, and is on its way to a new home. Yay :D

Sailor Jerry Show

This is my color study for a show I'm participating in. Heavily referenced from some free stock I found on deviantart, since every pose I tried to come up with myself was garbage. Tomorrow I paint!

Sleeeeep

I've gotta catch a plane tomorrow, awake at 4am! So horrible. Hate flying so very very much. Watching G.I. Joe until I fall asleep. Man this movie is terrible. Scarlett's weapon takes like.. no skill to operate. It locks onto its target and fires. Wow. How cool.. :| But yay Zartan! The only positive thing about this movie in my opinion. HURR.

Tomorrow I fly away, so I'm leaving you with a little sketch of the Sniper from Monday Night Combat. A very excellent game you can buy in the xbox arcade, worth every penny! hehe. I just wish that update would roll around so that the glitches are fixed.

Update?

I'm happy to say my Anubis painting sold last week! He's all packed up and ready to go to his new home.

Ho-hum. So aside from that I've been doodling up a storm here. Though recently I've slowed down a lot because I started working a holiday job. I plan to update every other monday with character designs, since I'm really interested in building a portfolio around that. Lets see how it goes I suppose! c;

Gotta get in the habit of blogging. Even if no one reads it.

Lazy Summer

I've been busy moving back home and getting my things together that I haven't done much work for my portfolio lately. I can't tell if I've given up, or am just still worn out from school. I imagine its the second, who knows. So for now here's a piece I did for a friend. Just a little sketch with some digital coloring.

Snowflake, from Fallout 3, property of Bethesda Softworks.

One of these days when I'm not running around all day I can update my website, and this blog. Because they both need working on. Not that I believe myself to have an audience. It would just be nice to actually get everything in order regardless.
